Medieval times

Looking for ideas to photograph, I came across a statue that I got from Africa. It is a little difficult to see, but it is two giraffes kissing. The stone is very soft. It actually broke coming back from Africa, but the chips that came off only make it more special in my eyes. With some candles burning, I decided on this shot:
It's the tiniest bit off center, but I couldn't get it any better than that. I think it has a kind of medieval feeling to it, like something you would see in a castle on a dark and stormy night.

Very interesting. I agree with Bridget that there is a spiritual feel here. The candle was a great idea to highlight the sculpture.

Very unusual statue, Jayme...and I, too, like how you added the candle in the background. Did you see any kissing giraffes when you were in Africa? Your passion for Africa is evident in your photography. I hope you can get back there someday! :-)
