Thursday assignment: Windows

"All the windows of my heart I open to the day"

And boy, what a hectic day it was. Even now, I have about 20 minutes to eat, wash up from walk, run to the dollar store and then meet at the Glen Store for potato scrubbing. Tomorrow is the annual Brooks BBQ and it's going to be a busy couple of days. On top of that, Mike ruptured a bicep tendon and has to have surgery tomorrow, Pastor Tim's father passed away and I don't know if he will be able to do the service Sunday, Family reunion, moving etc. etc. etc. I had an idea for my photo tonight, but not the time to make it happen. So here is a window that I'm not looking out of, but rather accepting the presence and warmth of the light from the window. And shadows...of course there have to be shadows:)

Pretty image. B/c of your idea that you shared, I had to change my idea which was similar. I didn't want you to think I copied you. Anyway, I think the change in plans allowed both us to interpret the assignment in another way.

LOVE IT!!! I'm drawn to this image! Terrific interpretation of the assignment. I especially love the shadows and symmetrical element. Wonderful! Now, I'll try to briefly catch up from the last week: THURSDAY, 5/14: VW BUG - could also stand for "VERY WELL" done! Wonderfully creative solution to the assignment! FRI, 5/15: TREASURES ON THE TRAIL - beautiful images of the "signs of the past!" SAT, 5/16 - WOMEN'S CONFERENCE - Enjoyed seeing the group shot of you and your friends! The tickets and feet/legs shots were quite creative! SUNDAY, 5/17 - HANDS AGAIN - romantic! :-) MONDAY, 5/18 - POSTED SIGN - beautiful, well-composed image. I really liked it!!! TUESDAY, 5/19 - LILACS - aaah, I could almost smell the fragrance. My favorite was the close-up! WED, 5/20 - STEPS IN THE FOREST - beautifully done...loved how you spotlighted the leaves by coloring them while leaving the rest of the image in b/w. Nice filter effect, too! ENJOYED YOUR WHOLE WEEK'S WORTH OF PHOTOS! :-)
