Rainy day, new camera!

The camera has arrived!!!! Canon EOS Rebel XSi 450d with 4 lenses to try out and alot of learning to do. It's going to take some time to figure it out, and I haven't played with settings yet at all. But here are my first couple of attempts:
Here, a fly takes refuge from a sudden downpour.

On a rainy day, I don't really have any amazing subjects so I'm just shooting from my window here. The lens is a 75-300mm Tamron which I'm having to get used to being a bit more steady to get these shots. In addition, I got a Tamron 28-80mm, a wide angle converter and telephoto converter. I want to figure out the camera before I start going crazy with the lenses.

Oh, don't pay a bit of attention to Steve! We all know Canon is the best!!! Let's see...6 out of 7 MVP photographers own one or more Canon cameras...hmmm...does that tell you something? Seriously, congratulations on your new toy! Your first photos are just gorgeous!!! Have fun learning all about your new camera!!! :-)

Congratulations on the camera! You've been waiting a long time. Don't listen to Steve, Canon sells more cameras then anyone else for a reason!

Great shots too!

You must be giddy with pleasure at finally having your new camera in your hand. Good for you. The images are great.

I'm with the others--don't pay attention to that, what was it again, Nikon, user. Canon rocks!! You're going to love, love, love your new toy.
