The Return of the Robins!

Am I the first one to see them? At RPI today, I was shocked to see at least 30 robins mulling around the courtyard on the way to teaching my 7th and 8th graders! It isn't even Februrary and yet, there they are, all plump and chirpy:) Is this a sign? Does that mean that spring is coming and it will be a toasty summer this year? Either way, I took it as a positive thing. I'm totally ready for the winter to be over and for my toes and fingers to be warm again! Here are my little robins:

Great shots, HB, you got much closer than I could on Dec. 22nd. I was so excited, then somebody told me they don't migrate, they just flock together in cold weather. Can you believe it?

I'm excited, too...ROBINS!!!! SPRING is in the air! These images really are a sight for sore eyes...great job, Jayme! I especially love the first one. It was the only image I was able to enlarge. I couldn't believe it when I saw you had captured that robin with a berry in his mouth! At least, it appeared that way to me. Thanks for bringing us a sign of hope!!! :-)

I don't want to sound like a know it all but you see Jamye's robins take defense against the cold. They probably make themselves nice and toasty fluffing their feathers up..Steve wear you hat and mittens.WITWAI???

Nice job Jayme. Robins are always a great sign of warmer things to come and a welcome sight because they're so beautiful.
