STEP Conference 2009

Instead of my usual teaching today, I went to the STEP Conference at the Marriott in Albany. Last year, I helped coach two teams of kids to 1st and 3rd place finishes in the statewide poster research contest. This year, I didn't teach research but I still went to support the kids I taught before and I got to hear an awesome motivational speaker and do some professional development. This group shot includes my kids and one RPI college student who helps with the program:

Thomas, Trevon, Anthony, Chris, and Wudu:

I love the pose with the boys "stepping". Very creative job on that one. Did you use flash/settings?? You have great lighting in the photos.

These are all great, Jayme! I especially love the last two. I thought the same as Steve...the lighting is great. I'm curious...did you use a flash attachment? Or just the pop-up? Everyone in the group photo appears to be in focus...not an easy feat. Looks like you had a fun and rewarding day! :-)

Great shots of the kids. The "group" shot is always good for the record, but it's definitely the ones where they "posture" that are the exciting images. Nice idea to let them ham-it-up for the camera.
