My namesake
The name of my blog is the phoenix dreamer, a name I thought of back in September. Imagine my surprise when this morning as I was leaving the house, I looked in the sky only to see my namesake floating majestically in the morning light! 
By the time I got my camera, the head of th phoenix had somewhat dissapated, so I did doctor up the head a little bit.

This is gorgeous, Jayme! I love the streaks of different colors in the field! The silhouette of the mountains is an interesting element that separates the field from that incredible sky. Great capture of your namesake, too!!! I know I'm dating myself, but when I was a child, we had more leisure time, which sometimes, was spent gazing at nature's artwork in the sky! :-)

Amazing photo...is it photoshop? Or was it really this way? If not from photoshop it does give me an idea of manipulating clouds into different shapes...very very cool.
On a side note, it also led to a teachable moment where I explained the phoenix to my nieces
